After such a busy month as December it was nice to slow down a bit in January.
We started off the year with a few days of fun together as a family. We went to Sneaky Experiences Tales of Grimm Wood beneath the Leeds Town Hall followed by lunch in the Art Gallery.
The next day we went to visit The Rainbow Factory after numerous recommendations from Honest Mum. We can see why she was so insistent upon us going, it was absolutely brilliant and Luca loved every second of it.
I signed up to a photography course this month with my friend, Steph. One of my things to do this year is improve my photography so this is a step in the right direction with that. The first week of this saw us take Luca and our cameras out for the day to Lotheron Hall where we took lots of photos and had lots of fun together too. You can see it all here. I took this photo whilst there which was chosen as favourite image in the Point & Shoot linky and made it into the My Happy Capture roundup which made me a very happy Franki.
We visited the Rainbow Factory again for Honest Mum’s sons birthday party.
It also snowed this month. It only lasted for about 24hrs but we made the absolute most of it, there are more snowy photos and the whole story here if you fancy a look. I got some beautiful shots of Luca, including this one which is now my wallpaper on all my electronic devices and was chosen by Hannah as her post to share from her My Wild Ones linky.
I squeezed in another photography walk with Steph, this time we took a road trip with numerous stops to take pictures of whatever caught our eye. It was great fun and a good way to spend a few hours and get some pretty pictures to boot.
I filed my first ever self-assessment tax return, which was more than taxing, they completely lie on the adverts!!!
I’ve also discovered the joys of click&collect food shopping, saving me precious time, something I don’t have much of being a working mum.
On top of all that we have also baked, painted pottery and generally spent a lot of time at home this month.
It’s been wonderful.
